If you pay attention to the news, you will certainly notice that hatred and ugliness exist. These are made available to us because people who work for news channels look for it. They spend their days looking for them. When found, they capture hatred and ugliness and send them to us in headlines, photos, and interviews.

“Three Virginia football players killed; ex-player in custody”

“Mystery surrounds stabbing death of 4 Idaho students”

“Gay bar shooting suspect faces murder, hate crimes charges”

Yes, hatred and ugliness exist in our reality. We need to be aware of them. However, I wonder what happens to people who look for hatred and ugliness day after day after day.

Have you noticed another part of reality? Beauty and grace also exist.

  • Beauty: a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.
  • Grace: elegant movement; charming, pleasing qualities.

Fortunately for us at Top 20 Training, our friend Larry Hollar looks for beauty and grace. As an amateur photographer, Larry captures these realities with his camera and sends them to us each week. Slowly scroll through some of the things Larry has recently noticed.

Sometimes what Larry looks for even makes us smile.

Look for beauty and grace this week. When you see it, dwell on it for a moment. Let beauty and grace activate your spirit in a way that hatred and ugliness don’t. Then, like Larry, share it with someone else. If you’d like to, please share it with us and we’ll pass it on to our Wellness Wednesday readers.

From our Top 20 team…Willow, Kevin, and Tom.
